Overview
The Multi-Disc Sludge Dewatering Machine combines sludge thickening and mechanical dewatering in a compact continuous process. Conditioned sludge passes through a drum formed by fixed and moving discs while a low-speed screw conveys and compresses the solids toward the cake outlet.
Working Principle
Sludge is mixed with a suitable polymer in the flocculation section so stable flocs can enter the dewatering drum.
Free water drains through the disc gaps in the thickening zone before the screw gradually increases compression toward the discharge end.
Filtrate is collected separately while the dewatered sludge cake is discharged for conveying, storage, or downstream disposal.
