Air-Bearing Centrifugal Blower
Air-bearing centrifugal blower for energy-efficient, oil-free aeration air supply in municipal and industrial wastewater treatment. High-speed direct drive, variable-speed control and compact integrated design support oxygen-demand-based operation; final airflow and pressure are selected for the project.
Overview
The air-bearing centrifugal blower combines a high-speed direct-drive centrifugal stage with air-foil bearing technology to deliver clean process air without a gearbox or oil-lubricated compression chamber. It is intended for continuous aeration duties where energy efficiency, compact footprint and variable-flow control are priorities.
Key Benefits
Air-bearing and direct-drive architecture reduces mechanical transmission components and routine lubrication-related maintenance.
Integrated variable-frequency and control options can adjust blower output to follow dissolved-oxygen demand within the selected operating envelope.
The oil-free air path supports fine-bubble aeration and other processes that require clean air supply.
Typical Applications
Municipal and industrial biological wastewater treatment, activated-sludge, MBR and SBR aeration systems.
Aeration energy-saving retrofits and plants with variable oxygen demand.
Installations whose airflow, pressure and turndown conditions are suitable for high-speed centrifugal technology.
Selection Information Required
Please provide required airflow, discharge pressure or total system backpressure, turndown range, operating hours, ambient temperature, altitude, inlet-air conditions, power supply, noise target, communication requirements and installation limits. Final performance and configuration are confirmed during model selection.
