Roots Aeration Blower
Roots aeration blower for stable positive-displacement air supply in biological wastewater treatment, deep-basin aeration and other continuous-duty applications. Final airflow, pressure, motor and cooling configuration are selected for actual backpressure and operating conditions.
Overview
The Roots aeration blower uses positive-displacement rotors to provide predictable airflow for continuous aeration service. It is suited to systems that need robust pressure handling and stable air delivery as basin depth or diffuser resistance changes within the selected operating range.
Key Benefits
Positive-displacement operation supports stable airflow under changing system backpressure, subject to the selected motor load and protection limits.
The compression chamber is separated from the lubrication system so the configured air path can support biological aeration duties.
The blower can be matched with diffusers and variable-frequency control to follow plant oxygen demand within approved operating-speed limits.
Typical Applications
Deep-tank activated-sludge, SBR and MBBR aeration systems.
Aerobic digestion, grit-chamber aeration and industrial wastewater treatment.
Continuous-duty aquaculture aeration and retrofit projects requiring a serviceable positive-displacement package.
Selection Information Required
Please provide required airflow, discharge pressure calculated from water depth, piping and diffuser losses, duty cycle, ambient temperature, altitude, inlet-air conditions, power supply, variable-frequency requirements, cooling method, noise target and maintenance-access limits. Final performance and configuration are confirmed during model selection.
