Hyperboloid Wastewater Mixer
Mixing & Dosing Equipment

Hyperboloid Wastewater Mixer

Bottom-mounted hyperboloid wastewater mixer for low-shear tank circulation, sludge suspension, and homogenization in equalization, anoxic, anaerobic, and sludge-holding basins. Selection is based on tank geometry, water depth, liquid and solids characteristics, mixing duty, materials, and installation conditions.

Overview

A hyperboloid wastewater mixer uses a broad, curved impeller to draw liquid downward and distribute flow radially across the tank floor. This low-speed circulation pattern is intended to reduce settling and improve tank-wide homogenization while limiting excessive local shear. Bottom-mounted configurations can suit covered, deep, or retrofit basins where overhead drive structures are undesirable.

Key Characteristics

Tank-floor installation supports circulation across the lower basin and can help reduce sludge deposition.
Low-speed, high-volume mixing is suited to activated-sludge and other duties where excessive shear should be avoided.
Impeller material, motor protection, sealing, sensors, base, and mounting arrangement are confirmed for the selected model and wastewater conditions.

Typical Applications

Equalization and wastewater homogenization basins.
Anoxic and anaerobic zones in biological treatment processes.
Sludge holding or thickening tanks, covered basins, and retrofit projects.

Selection Information Required

Provide tank length or diameter, water depth and operating-level range, liquid density and viscosity, temperature, pH and corrosion conditions, solids concentration, mixing objective, inlet and outlet locations, available power, and installation or maintenance constraints. Confirm motor power, speed, impeller diameter and material, mounting, sealing and protection, and equipment quantity during engineering selection.
