Low-speed submersible propeller mixer for horizontal flow generation, mixed-liquor suspension, and circulation in oxidation ditches, equalization basins, and anoxic or anaerobic tanks. Selection is based on basin geometry, target flow, solids, impeller thrust, mounting, and power supply.
Overview
Unlike a local high-speed agitator, a low-speed submersible propeller mixer moves a large volume of liquid horizontally through a basin. Its large-diameter propeller and geared drive are used to establish circulation, keep mixed liquor and suspended solids moving, and limit sedimentation without unnecessary local turbulence.
Key Characteristics
Designed for horizontal bulk flow in large basins and long treatment channels.
A guide-rail or lifting arrangement can support inspection and removal without draining the basin, subject to the selected installation design.
Blade material and diameter, rotational speed, thrust, seals, sensors, mounting angle, and motor protection are confirmed during model selection.

Selection Information Required
Provide basin length, width, water depth and operating-level range, walls and baffles, inlet and outlet locations, liquid density and viscosity, temperature, pH and corrosion conditions, solids concentration, target flow velocity or circulation duty, available power, and installation or maintenance constraints. Confirm motor power, impeller diameter and speed, rated thrust, guide-rail arrangement, materials, sealing, sensors, and protection during engineering selection.
